It's the launch of a a book of photographs made by the photographer Yvon consisting of views of Paris in the 1920s. It's edited by Robert Stevens, who is a true gentleman. Robert showed me a copy he got from the printers before it was all finalised and it looks beautiful.

For the love of film
Here's the Details:
MJR Film Grant
So we want to try something new. Something more hands-on… We want to remain connected with the our community and provide support in the best way we know how.
The MJR Film Grant is our effort to try and put those sentiments into practice.
We want to help you realize your project and we understand the level of commitment it takes to keep pushing the analogue medium. So, in addition to supplying $500 worth of film, we want to start a conversation. This is where the information/drinks evening, portfolio reviews and the winner’s event come into play – it’s all an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to get to know the wider photographic community.
Shooting film takes commitment – a commitment we at MJR understand and appreciate. That is why we want to help you realize your project. Not another faceless competition where JPGs fly through the air and winners are announced in helvetica, MJR is actually proposing that we meet. Connect and converse.

UK Elections
My Grandad jokes that above the door to Parliament in Westminster is a sign that reads "As concerned as I am with your problems, I'm doing alright thanks." That about sums up my attitude to most politicians too.
Anyway, John Harris of The Guardian has been doing a series on some of the political parties outside of the Liberal/Labour/Conservative mainstream which includes this one from Peckham in South London, where I lived for many years.

Oh and if you're voting today: Not the fucking Tories please.
