Eyjafjallajokull

I love it when the forces of nature take down our human arrogance and remind us how frail we are and how much we are at the mercy of this world we claim to command. With Europe in travel chaos, millions being lost through spoiled merchandise (want to buy roses in April? Tough. Wait till they bloom in your own country's climate) stuck travellers howling for compensation, paying through the nose for alternative travel and lodging, airlines howling for compensation for their lost revenue (yeah right - go fish) and people around the globe affected I can only sit back and think wow, all this from one little volcano and a big cloud of dust.

My friend Axel Öberg sent me some photographs from Iceland, one of which was published in Paris Match as a big double page spread. Nice.
