Nice work Jason. I really like the first three images a lot. I think maybe because there is a stronger feeling of emotion and more depth to them. Also the layering is done quite nicely. I would continue on this project. Very nice.
Alice, your totally right. I never thought about it until I out these 5 up here. When I'm in CA and if you have time, I would love to get your input on the others. THANKS :O)
I think the theme park photographs work really well. There is something sad and desperate in these pictures. The one with the bunny rabbit and the wheelchairs is very surreal. I like the way the elements in the image are arranged and the scale gets disturbed. The shot of the rollercoaster is one with obvious graphic elements but stands up under scrutiny and says more than it initially reveals as you spend time with it. The clown is just plain sinister. I think it works really well in a series. The one here I'm not sure about is the girl on the bench. What it is saying is in my opinion done better in the other photographs. Also the interior shot seems out of place here. This is a familiar image of Katrina's aftermath, whereas the theme park shots are more unusual. I would focus on that. I know Jason has more and would love to see a really good edit of this series.
"I like the way the elements in the image are arranged and the scale gets disturbed". I agree with tom.good stuff.gab.
